When you get here you can forget your car. Mèze has plentiful cafés and restaurants, many specialising in seafood, oysters and mussels. Its most famous local wine is Picpoul de Pinet, a dry white which goes very well with seafood.

Mèze has three harbours, two beaches and a wide range of local amenities from boulangeries and pharmacists to wine shops and oyster stalls. It has its own daily indoor market as well as a twice weekly vibrant outdoor market on Thursdays and Sundays.
